The Great Doctor Revival

?The Great Doctor Revival was a wonderful and awesome experience,? reports Ayman Kafrouny, director of World Mission Broadcast?s efforts in the Middle East. More than 1700 people attended the revival meetings held in Beirut in November. The presence of the Lord was evident and as Ayman says, ?we really felt that we were in heaven, even as our feet were on earth.?

Perhaps the most powerful moments came in the days following the revival services when a minister living in Iraq shared the following with Ayman: ?We watched the revival on TV. There was a visitor in our house, and he was a marginal believer. When Pastor Zachariah was talking about repentance, he was deeply affected and received a message from the Lord. We are looking forward to the day that we can make such a revival happen in Iraq.?

Bengali Radio

? 62 people came to know the Lord in 2006
? 30 of these people were involved in follow-up discipleship
? 15 are now members of the Church of the Nazarene
? 12 house churches and 1 organized church in northern Bengal
? 207 million Bengali-speaking people?the 5th largest ethno-linguistic people in the world.

Rev. Tushar Manna, coordinator of World Mission Broadcast?s Bengali Radio Ministry, shared these exciting ?statistics.? Perhaps even more exciting is the reminder that these ?statistics? represent actual lives of people who have been touched by the Gospel message of hope through a WMB radio program.

Airing Thursday mornings, from 7:00-7:15 a.m., this Bengali program reaches in to parts of India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bengal, and Bangladesh. The Bengali broadcast team is partnering with local believers to visit listeners in an attempt to get to know them and personally share the Gospel.

Pray for Rev. Manna and his team as they shared the Good News of Christ.

A Cool Thing Happened at the Taytay Church

?We had a cool thing happy at Taytay Church yesterday,? said Daniel Pape, director of Print and Web Design, of World Mission Broadcast, Asia-Pacific. ?A Pinoy family from Canada visited [the Philippines] who have been living in Vancouver for the past 6 years. They are here for the first time in 6 years to spend Christmas with their family. They found Taytay Church because they are Perfect Rhythm pod cast listeners. They knew it was produced by the Church of the Nazarene, so when they got here, they looked us up. It was really cool confirmation that God is using our pod casts to touch people all over the world.?

World Mission Broadcast, Asia-Pacific is producing pod casts that are being accessed by people all over the world, like the family from Vancouver. To take a look at all the pod cast offerings from WMB Asia-Pacific, log on to http://www.wmc-ap.org/.

2005-2006 WMB Offering Update

Since 1995 the amount received in the annual offering for World Mission Broadcast has steadily declined? but not anymore! Not only did the offering received in 2006 not decline?it actually increased! For this, we give glory to God!

The opportunities for sharing the Gospel through WMB are endless. As technology advances are made,WMB will continue to utilize all means possible to reach the lost.

We earnestly pray that the increase in the annual offering becomes a trend, allowing our broadcast teams to have a further reach into their communities, taking the Good News of Christ to those who have yet to hear.
