Mr.
Jan Weisen is a Career Assignment missionary for the Church of the Nazarene.
He and his wife Sheryl live in Switzerland where Jan serves as the Eurasia
Regional Communications Coordinator and Sheryl as human resources manager
for the region. Prior to this assignment, they served as Specialized Assignment
missionaries in Bucharest, Romania. Sheryl was serving as a member of
the Northwest District Work and Witness team that traveled to Romania
in August 1995 where she met Mr. Weisen. They were married in December
1995.
Jan's first missionary assignment was as Advisor to Administration at Raleigh Fitkin Memorial Hospital in Manzini, Swaziland from 1990 to 1995. While there, he also served as the assistant to the Field Director for the Southeast Africa Field.
Jan received the Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Eastern Washington University in 1976. He received a Master's degree in Hospital and Health Care Administration from the University of Iowa in 1982.
Prior to his first missionary appointment,
Mr. Weisen served on the administrative
staff of Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington.
He is a skilled administrator, videographer, writer, and producer.
